Bright annealing is a process of heating, soaking and controlled cooling of coils in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. It relieves internal stresses developed during cold rolling, restores ductility, and improves formability. Solution annealing dissolves chromium-rich carbides formed during thermo-mechanical processing. The use of 100% inert atmosphere ensures a clean, bright, and defect-free surface finish.
